About Us

locally owned, family owned, family focused with amazing staff

Family Owned

Dr. Berger has been a proud resident of Georgia since 2009, and she is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. During her academic journey, she also welcomed the arrival of three energetic boys who occasionally lend a hand at the clinic, assisting with tasks like cleaning kennels and other miscellaneous duties.

In addition to her three boys, her fourth child (aka her husband), a Georgia Tech graduate who knows absolutely nothing about veterinary medicine, takes care of the business side of things and writes most of the content you see on this website. He ensures the clinic runs smoothly behind the scenes, though you're more likely to find him working from home or handling administrative tasks rather than at the clinic itself.

At home, the Berger family cares for their own dog, two pigs, a part-time cat, and 13 chickens. Together, they have built Mountain View Animal Hospital from the ground up, creating a warm, welcoming environment where pets receive the highest quality care and families feel right at home.

Meet Our Team

Dr. Berger

Dr. Berger

Veterinarian

Meet the owner and lead vet around here Dr. Berger! A proud alumna of the University of Georgia, Dr. Berger brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our animal hospital. When she's not busy saving the lives of our furry friends, she's busy tending to her own animal kingdom at home. With a dog, two pigs, four humans, a part time cat and 13 chickens to care for, Dr. Berger is a true animal lover at heart.

Rachael

Rachael

Practice Manager

Rachael is an Atlanta native that has been working in veterinary medicine for over 20 years. She graduated from the Gwinnett Tech Vet Tech program in 2002. She enjoys placing IV catheters, drawing blood, and training others. In her spare time she enjoys reading, crafting and organizing. The beach is her happy place. Rachael has 2 Clumber Spaniels Hobson and Carley as well as a Sussexx and Spaniel Charlotte.

Dr. Teague

Dr. Teague

Associate Veterinarian

Meet our associate veterinarian, Dr. Teague. Dr. Teague graduated from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). She enjoys surgery, dentistry, and preventative care medicine. When she is not seeing patients or obsessing over every black cat she sees, Dr. Teague can be found at home spending time with her husband either reading or crafting with a cup of tea.

Kyla

Kyla

Queen Receptionist

Meet Kyla, your pet's new best friend! With nearly 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Kyla has spent a lifetime caring for animals—they're her babies (and they never talk back!). A true Georgia native, Kyla loves nothing more than hanging by the lake with her husband. Whether it's a wagging tail or a gentle purr, Kyla is here to make sure your furry friends are living their best lives.

Mr. Berger

Mr. Berger

Doesn't even work here

Sometimes this bald headed guy shows up at the office. We don't really know why, Dr. Berger seems to like him. He helps out with the business side of the house. If you get stuck talking to him, flag down another staff member for actual help. He will talk your ears off, and not know a single thing about veterinary medicine.

Lukas

Lukas

Nepo Baby

This underaged, underpaid “employee” sure looks an awful lot like a mix of Dr. Berger and her husband. Besides the clear example of nepotism on display here, I'm pretty sure he is kept around because he's the only person who can reach the top shelf.

Jori

Jori

Vet Assistant

This isn't Jori, this is AI because Rachael (see above) hasn't taken a photo of Jori. Jori is a UGA pre-vet student who spends about 70% of her waking life in traffic, 40% in school, and the 20% remaining time working at MVAH. I'm not great at math...

Lexi

Lexi

Vet Assistant

This isn't Lexi either — still AI, still waiting on Rachael for a photo. What does Lexi do here? No idea. Rachael said 'hire her,' so we hired her. Ask Rachael, she tells me nothing.

Stephanie

Stephanie

Vet Assistant

Stephanie has been with us for a while now, yet for some reason I still had to use an AI generated photo of her. But honestly, I think I nailed it. Stephanie has a crap ton of experience and knows her way around the hospital. Now would someone tell Rachael to get me photos already!
